About Me

I’m Katie, a mom of four kids and twelve chickens. I’ve always been interested in health but by my early 20s my weight was constantly fluctuating, I felt off and confused by conflicting advice and diet culture. One day I picked up The Omnivore’s Dilemma by Michael Pollan in a Barnes and Noble and couldn’t put it down. How were the vast majority of people 50+ years ago able to maintain health and a low body weight so easily? After implementing these principles for myself I felt amazing and was able to maintain my health and weight without counting calories even after having children. This was my first step on a journey of trying to live and eat more naturally.

Fast forward to last year—I had learned so much after decades of this lifestyle and raising a real food family but I still wasn’t looking at the whole picture of health yet. Wanting to help others on their health journey, I enrolled in the Institute of Integrative Nutrition’s Health Coach course. During the course, the last few puzzle pieces fell into place as I learned the effect emotions, childhood, chronic disease and relationships play on your health. What I’ve learned has been truly life-changing and I want to share with everyone I can and tailor it to your life—no matter where you are on your health journey!
